Charles T. Boyle, Guy S. Emerich, Jack O. Hackett II and David A. Holmes named “Super Lawyers” and Roger H. Miller III named “Florida Rising Star”

PUNTA GORDA, FL – June 8, 2011 – Farr Law Firm is honored to announce that five of its attorneys have been included in the 2011 edition of Florida Super Lawyers magazine.  Those listed as Super Lawyers are Charles T. Boyle, Guy S. Emerich, Jack O. Hackett II and David A. HolmesRoger H. Miller III is listed as a Rising Star.

The selections for these esteemed lists are made by the research team at Super Lawyers, which is a service of the Thomson Reuters Legal division based in Eagan, Minnesota. Each year, the research team at Super Lawyers undertakes a rigorous multi-phase selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area and a good-standing and disciplinary check.

Boyle, the only practicing Florida Bar Board Certified Marital and Family Law attorney in Charlotte County, receives this distinction for the fourth consecutive year.  He counsels clients in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including divorce, equitable distribution, division of business interests, division of retirement assets, tax issues, child support, parenting issues, domestic violence, and pre-nuptial agreements.  Boyle also practices in the areas of civil litigation and real estate.

Emerich is Florida Bar Board Certified in Wills, Trusts and Estates, and this is his fifth consecutive year of recognition.  His practice focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration with an emphasis on protecting and preserving his clients’ assets, minimizing taxes and avoiding probate.  Emerich also practices real estate law.

Hackett, a Florida Bar Board Certified Real Estate attorney, receives this honor for the third time and second consecutive year.  He represents clients in all areas of residential and commercial real estate acquisition and development and has represented clients in a number of high profile real estate transactions.  Hackett also practices business law and counsels clients in a wide range of industries in the formation, organization, and management of business entities.

Holmes receives the distinction of being named a Super Lawyer for the first time.  His practice focuses on asset protection, corporate and business law, civil litigation with specialization in contract, commercial and construction disputes and real estate law.  Holmes’ clients include medical professionals, business entities and business owners, property owners, builders and general contractors, and lenders and other creditors.

For the second consecutive year, Miller has been named a Rising Star.  This honor recognizes attorneys in the state who are 40 or under or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.  Miller focuses his legal practice on civil litigation and real estate law.  He represents clients in general litigation matters, real estate and property disputes, mortgage foreclosures, construction litigation, and all areas of residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Each year, Florida Super Lawyers lists no more than 5 percent of lawyers in the state as Super Lawyers and no more than 2.5 percent as Rising Stars.
