Associate Attorney

Business Transactions and Civil Litigation

Farr Law Firm is seeking a Business Transactions and Civil Litigation Associate to join our growing litigation practice in Punta Gorda, Florida. The Attorney will handle general business transactions and civil litigation matters while representing clients from small locally-owned businesses to large national corporations. Farr Law Firm’s multi-industry knowledge allows us to address a range of disputes relating to contracts such as business acquisitions, employment and non-compete agreements, licensing and distribution agreements, commercial and residential leases and other types of commercial agreements.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Client Management – Communicate with clients to commence an engagement, to keep the matter moving forward on a timely basis, and to make certain that the firm’s efforts are in tune with the client’s needs;
  • Draft Documents;
  • Revenue Growth and Billable Time – Develop a client following to increase the firm’s revenues and keep track of and post all billable and non-billable work;

Candidate Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor Degree
  • One to three years’ experience (need not be in same practice area)
  • Excellent communications skills – both oral and written;
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills;
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills;
  • Highly organized, acute attention to detail, and ability to operate with an action orientation in a high pressure, fast-paced environment;
  • Sense of urgency, hunger, and drive/commitment;
  • Ability to anticipate client needs/forward-thinking and solutions-oriented approach at all times;
  • Strong MS office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills.



Estate Administration Paralegal

Farr Law Firm is seeking an Estate and Trust Administration paralegal for our probate department in the Punta Gorda office. Ideal candidates will have experience in estate and trust administration including maintaining case files and knowledge of fiduciary accountings. Must have the ability to work independently, under the supervision of an attorney, in all aspects of estate and trust administration, including court filings and meeting deadlines, asset gathering and transfers, and communications with investment advisors and trust companies.

Candidate must have superior client service skills, as the position works directly with clients and trust beneficiaries. We offer paralegals administrative support as well as continuing education and professional development opportunities. Florida Registered Paralegals (or CLAs) are preferred.



Legal Secretary/Estates and Trusts/Real Estate

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Farr Law Firm is seeking a full-time legal assistant in our Venice, Florida office. The candidate will be responsible for assisting attorneys with drafting documents, scheduling appointments and providing support services for various tasks including filing, billing and answering the phones. Superior communication both verbal and written are a must as well as excellent typing and email skills, the ability to proofread and do word processing. Must be very detail oriented and able to handle multiple client files.

A Florida registered paralegal or graduate of paralegal program or equivalent is preferred but not required. Additional desirable abilities include a working knowledge or familiarity with legal-based software applications including Clio, Juris, Lawgic and NetDocuments.
