Administrative and HR Assistant

Farr Law Firm is hiring an Administrative and HR Assistant to work in their Punta Gorda office. The responsibilities of the position include general clerical duties related to the administration of the firm, provides support services to the firm administrator, assists with HR related matters, works with vendors and suppliers, schedules appointments, and performs other duties as required by firm administrator or managing partner.

Candidate Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Experience in Human Resources and employee benefits coordination
  • Proven success in recruiting new employees
  • Onboarding and training new employees
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to schedule and manage Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings
  • Notary Public
  • Discretion and confidentiality

Desirable:

  • Human Resources degree
  • Advertising and marketing experience
  • Working knowledge of Adobe software such as Photoshop and InDesign
  • Working knowledge of computer systems and networks
  • Legal secretarial experience

Real Estate Processor | Punta Gorda

Farr Law Firm is looking for experienced  and detailed oriented Real Estate Processor for their Punta Gorda office. This position will be responsible to prepare various closing documents which include an overview and understanding of Contracts, Title Orders and title commitments, have patience to assist buyers & sellers throughout the closing process, work with lenders to prepare buyer’s loan packages, organize the file for closing day and coordinate the closing date with all parties including realtors.  Communicate in a friendly and professional demeanor with co-workers, real estate professionals, sellers and buyers.

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Real estate closing experience
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Above average proofreading skills
  • Notary Public

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of various software applications including Clio, NetDocuments, Client Profiles, Juris and DoubleTime
  • Technical knowledge of computer systems and networks
  • Florida Registered Paralegal or graduate of paralegal program or equivalent

 

Probate Paralegal | Punta Gorda

Farr Law Firm is seeking an Estate and Trust Administration paralegal for our probate department in the Punta Gorda office. Ideal candidates will have experience in estate and trust administration including maintaining case files and knowledge of fiduciary accountings. Must have the ability to work independently, under the supervision of an attorney, in all aspects of estate and trust administration, including court filings and meeting deadlines, asset gathering and transfers, and communications with investment advisors and trust companies.

Candidate must have superior client service skills, as the position works directly with clients and trust beneficiaries. We offer paralegals administrative support as well as continuing education and professional development opportunities. Florida Registered Paralegals (or CLAs) are preferred.
