Real Estate Processor

Farr Law Firm is looking for an experienced Real Estate Processor for their Punta Gorda office. The processor will prepare closing documents for real estate transactions, photocopy and collate each transaction and prepare each file for closing and on occasion will assist in other areas of real estate closing.

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Real estate closing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively in a constantly active work area
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Above average proofreading skills
  • Notary Public

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of various software applications including Clio, NetDocuments, Client Profiles, Juris and DoubleTime
  • Technical knowledge of computer systems and networks
  • Florida Registered Paralegal or graduate of paralegal program or equivalent

Real Estate Assistant

Farr Law Firm is seeking a full-time Real Estate Assistant for their Punta Gorda office. This position supports the firm’s real estate department with opening new real estate files according to the established procedure, preparing documents, wires, letters and checks as directed. The real estate/staff assistant will attend real estate closings as needed. Other responsibilities include preparing draft HUDs, giving verbal title quotes, ordering various title searches, funding files and performing other secretarial duties as required.

Staff Assistant

Farr Law Firm is seeking a full-time Real Estate/Staff Assistant for their Punta Gorda office. Staff assistant duties include general clerical work, assist with mailings, organize and conduct travel necessary for firm operations, photocopying, scanning documents to cloud software, make scheduled rounds of office to pick up and deliver mail, copies and faxes, keep library holdings up to date, managing all office supplies, transport documents to and from the courthouse, and coordinating pickup and deliveries of stored files.

Candidate Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively in a constantly active work area
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook

Associate Attorney, Litigation

Farr Law Firm is seeking a Business Transactions and Civil Litigation Associate to join our growing litigation practice in Punta Gorda, Florida. The Attorney will handle general business transactions and civil litigation matters while representing clients from small locally-owned businesses to large national corporations. Farr Law Firm’s multi-industry knowledge allows us to address a range of disputes relating to contracts such as business acquisitions, employment and non-compete agreements, licensing and distribution agreements, commercial and residential leases and other types of commercial agreements.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Client Management – Communicate with clients to commence an engagement, to keep the matter moving forward on a timely basis, and to make certain that the firm’s efforts are in tune with the client’s needs;
  • Draft Documents;
  • Revenue Growth and Billable Time – Develop a client following to increase the firm’s revenues and keep track of and post all billable and non-billable work;

Candidate Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor Degree
  • One to three years’ experience (need not be in same practice area)
  • Excellent communications skills – both oral and written;
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills;
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills;
  • Highly organized, acute attention to detail, and ability to operate with an action orientation in a high pressure, fast-paced environment;
  • Sense of urgency, hunger, and drive/commitment;
  • Ability to anticipate client needs/forward-thinking and solutions-oriented approach at all times;
  • Strong MS office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills.
