Farr Law Firm Announces Three New Shareholders

November 16, 2007 (Punta Gorda and Englewood) – The law firm of Farr, Farr, Emerich, Hackett and Carr, P.A. is pleased to announce that attorneys Jennifer R. Howell, Dorothy L. Korszen and Roger H. Miller III have been named shareholders in the firm effective January 1, 2008..

Mrs. Howell earned both her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Arts degrees, with honors, from Stetson University.  She is a Florida Bar Board Certified Elder Law Attorney.  Mrs. Howell associated with the firm in 1998 and is focusing her practice on elder law, Medicaid planning (asset protection), estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate in the Punta Gorda office.

Mr. Miller received a Bachelor of Science degree, with honors, from the University of Florida in May of 1998, majoring in both finance and insurance. He received his Juris Doctor in December of 2001 from the University of Florida College of Law and joined the firm in 2002.  Mr. Miller practices general civil litigation and real estate in the Punta Gorda office.

Mrs. Korszen received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida in 1980 and became a Professional Engineer, registered in Florida, in 1985. She received her Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, in 1988 from the University of Miami.  After practicing environmental law in Miami and Milwaukee, and owning a manufacturing company, Mrs. Korszen joined the firm in 2003.  She is focusing her practice on real estate, estate planning, wills, trusts and probate in both the Punta Gorda and Englewood offices
