Carr is on the Charlotte County Economic Development Council and an ad hoc member of the aquarium committee.

PUNTA GORDA, FL – November 4, 2011 – Darol H. M. Carr, Esq. was named 2011 Honoree by Edison State College Keystone Society for his continuous and dedicated support of the Charlotte Campus.  A reception was held on November 3, where a painting by local artist Susan L. Krasny was unveiled in his honor at the Keystone Gallery on campus.  The gallery is open to the public.

Carr is an ardent supporter of Edison State College as he began his academic studies there in 1977 after he served four years in the United States Air Force. Carr was appointed by Governor Bush in 2000 to the College’s District Board of Trustees.  In 2004, he was elected Vice-Chair and in 2005 he was elected Chair of the Board.

Carr expressed gratitude to the Keystone Society for the recognition. Carr noted “Edison is a local college that allows any individual an entry way to academic training to further their career and personal development. Edison’s benefit to our community is experienced every day by the numerous Edison students that now work in and otherwise serve our community.”

Carr is a director at Farr, Farr, Emerich, Hackett and Carr, P.A., where he practices in Personal Injury & Wrongful Death and Commercial and Civil Litigation.  He maintains an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell.  Carr joined the firm in 1983 after receiving his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University in 1983.
