Office Administrator

The Farr Law Firm, a mid-sized firm with 15 attorneys, 35 staff members, and offices in Punta Gorda and Venice, Florida seeks a Firm Administrator. The Firm Administrator reports to the managing partner and executive committee, manages all non-legal operations, and guides the business decisions of the firm. Areas of responsibility include the following:

  • Implementing strategies and policies established by the managing partner, executive committee and Board of Directors
  • Human Resources, including employee relations, supervision of all non-attorney staff with direct supervision of specified administrative and exempt personnel (including finance and marketing positions), benefits administration, and direction of hiring, workflow and departmental organization
  • Operations Management, including facilities and equipment
  • Oversight and direction of outsourced IT solutions with leadership on selection and implementation of IT solutions
  • Financial Management, including direct supervision of financial operations, payroll, trust account management and compliance, financial reporting analysis, budgeting, and the maintenance of internal controls and proceduresRequired skills include

Required skills include ability to identify and analyze business, operational and strategic issues, recommend and implement solutions, strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, flexibility, constant acquisition of new skills, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Ideal technical proficiency will include Excel, Access, Juris, Aderant/Client Profiles and PowerPoint.The firm offers a competitive salary and benefits. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree plus significant prior management experience in the professional services environment.
