Nursing Home Rates Continue to Rise

Nursing home rates increased 4.4% in 2011. Assisted living facility rates increased by 5.6%. This brings the average nursing home rates to $87,235 for a private room and $78,110 for a semi-private room per year, while assisted living facility rates average $41,724 per year. Florida is above the national average for nursing home rates, but below average for assisted living facility rates. The full survey with these findings can be viewed HERE.
