Farr Law Firm is pleased to announce that director Charles T. Boyle has received renewal of board certification by The Florida Bar in marital and family law.  Boyle has been certified since 1995 and remains the only board certified attorney in Charlotte County practicing marital and family law.

Boyle has been with Farr Law Firm for over 27 years.  He provides clients with legal counsel in all areas of matrimonial and family law, including divorce, equitable distribution, division of business interests, division of retirement assets, tax issues, child support, parenting issues, domestic violence, and pre-nuptial agreements

Board certification is the highest level of evaluation by The Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the 24 areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida.  Not all qualified lawyers are certified, but those who are board certified have taken the extra steps to have their competence and experience evaluated.According to the Florida Bar, a lawyer who is a member in good standing of The Florida Bar and who meets the standards prescribed by the state’s Supreme Court may become board certified.  Only seven percent of eligible Florida Bar members – about 4,400 lawyers – are board certified.  Certification is valid for five years, and to be recertified, lawyers must meet requirements similar to those for initial certification.
